OORAM
With hundreds of medical facilities nationwide, standardizing post-surgical airway management knowledge and procedures was a challenge. In response, the aim of the update to VA Directive 1157 for Out Of Operating Room Airway Management (OORAM) sought to overcome this challenge. The screens seen here are two stills from the narrated textual, illustrative, and video eLearning multimedia module. This didactic element served as a prerequisite for hands-on simulation training. In instructional design terms: learn and then apply that knowledge.

My role in this endeavor was the instructional designer, drafting both content and many of the interactions. Working with a talented developer and animator, we two overcame a stalled project timeline, clarified stakeholder learning goals and expectations, then recovered the schedule, content, and viability of this eLearning.
